Purpose of this guide
This guide was created to help students enrolled in the Therapeutic Massage Therapy program at Columbus Technical College. It aims to provide a brief overview of the numerous resources available to them, either in the physical library or online through the virtual branch. The Therapeutic Massage Technician program offers courses that prepare students for careers in the field of Therapeutic Massage Therapy. The curriculum includes human anatomy, physiology & kinesiology, pathology, massage therapy theory techniques & practices, universal precautions, body mechanics, massage history, client data collection, documentation, and legalities of massage, professional standards including draping and modesty, therapeutic relationships and communications, ethics and business, clinical practice.
