Library Instruction and orientation courses are designed to provide students with an introduction to the CTC Library program, physical and electronic collections, databases, and to GALILEO, Georgia's virtual library.
The general library orientation class introduces students to the library program and to GALILEO, Georgia's Virtual Library. Students will learn how to search the online catalog, start a research project, identify scholarly sources and refine search results. The library also offers customized training to fit the instructor's specific requirements. This may include:
Classes can be taught within the Library or in the instructor's classroom if it is equipped with a computer and projector or smartboard. Classes can also be taught virtually using collaboration software such as Web-X and/or TEAMS. Library Instruction and orientations are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
